Dr. Philipp Rösler, CEO of Consessor AG and former Vice Chancellor of Germany, delivered an inspiring keynote talk entitled “The Return Journey: Empowering the Next Generation of Vietnamese Leaders” at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Banking.

The event drew an impressive attendance of more than 1,500 participants in person and reached over 125,000 viewers via livestream, a clear sign of the strong engagement and curiosity of Vietnam’s young generation.

In his speech, Dr. Rösler highlighted Vietnam’s remarkable progress in global rankings, emphasizing how the country has become an example of dynamic growth, economic transformation, and increasing international recognition.

He pointed out that Vietnam’s population of approximately 100 million people, with an average age of 30, provides an extraordinary demographic advantage for continued innovation and sustainable development.

Dr. Rösler also commended the Vietnamese government’s reform and modernization efforts, noting that the reduction of ministries from 19 to 14 and the merger of 30 provinces are tangible examples of effective structural reform and visionary policymaking.

Reflecting on his personal connection to Vietnam, Dr. Rösler described his journey as a “return home” and encouraged young people to take pride in their nation’s achievements. He urged the audience to recognize that now is the right time to actively take part in Vietnam’s transformation, stressing that the next generation will play a decisive role in shaping the country’s political, economic, and social future.

Through this dialogue, Dr. Rösler reaffirmed Consessor AG’s mission to empower emerging leaders, foster international cooperation, and build bridges between Europe and Southeast Asia. The event underscored how vision, reform, and youthful energy together can create lasting impact, both in Vietnam and beyond
